Yudetaro
A moment to unwind in the city.
Opening at 7:00, Yudetaro serves everything from morning kitsune and curry sets to lunchtime katsudon combos, offering quick, everyday dining.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Having a spot where hot soba is ready from 7:00 is reassuring before a busy day gets underway. Yudetaro offers breakfast sets such as Asa-Kitsune, served with your choice of raw egg or softly poached onsen tamago, alongside morning combinations featuring curry, takana greens, or natto. It makes for a dependable stop whenever you need an inexpensive, brisk breakfast during the quiet early morning hours.
Come midday, the counter fills with local office workers drawn by the generous set menus. For an appetite that calls for real sustenance, rice bowl pairings with cold mori soba hit the spot, ranging from classic katsudon sets to sweet-savory egg-topped tentoji-don and deep-fried chicken oyako-don. Soba is also available on its own, with options stretching from simple chilled mori and warm kake noodles to aromatic Sanriku wakame soba and extra-large mori servings, adapting easily to however hungry you happen to be.
Positioned along a street in Kudanminami not far from Yasukuni Shrine, the shop focuses its business hours from early morning through the lunch rush until 15:00. The compact interior is arranged primarily around counter seating, lending itself to quick solo visits without any ceremony. Note that payment is cash only, making it best approached with some loose change in hand.
